I'm Sheldon Bauld, a human-centered design leader working on enterprise digital products and services.
Bio
Currently, I'm the Director of User Experience for the Government of Alberta. Previously, I've held design leadership roles at start-ups, consulting agencies, and as web design studio partner.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me riding a single-speed bike, cooking Italian food, watching Robert Eggers films, or walking around a car show.
My experience in numbers:
- designer of digital products since 2002
- held enterprise design leadership positions for the past 10 years
- currently leading the Government of Alberta UX design practice of 80+ designers working across 100+ product teams
- previously, a partner of a small design consulting agency for 6 years
- human-centered design practitioner for 12+ years
- hundreds of hours of direct user observation through usability testing
- responsible for digital products that serve many millions of people a year
- 23 years of total experience, 15 as a consultant, 8 within the public service
